Quick Guide: Everything You Need to Know About Pets
Greetings, adventurers!
Today we're diving into one of the most underrated (and valuable!) systems in IdleMMO: pets.
A common question I get is: Are pets worth it? Is Pet Mastery worth investing in?
The answer is simple: yes, absolutely!
Not only do pets provide strong stat boosts to your character, they also help in combat, dungeons, and even in passive income. Let’s break it down:
🐾 Which pet should you use? Do you need an epic one?
If your goal is leveling up Pet Mastery, the pet’s quality doesn’t affect XP gain.
The only difference is how long the pet stays out in combat. Higher-tier pets stay longer, but since XP gain is the same, it’s actually more efficient to have many lower-tier pets than to invest in one expensive one.
Summary:
• For leveling Pet Mastery: prioritize quantity
• For stat boost: choose one strong pet and focus on it
When should you get a better pet?
You only need one strong pet — your main companion for hunts, battles, and dungeons.
Pets can boost attributes like defense, attack, or mobility, helping you use less food or hunt more efficiently.
What about loot?
Pets collect drops over time while in combat.
Currently, the average is around 1 drop every few minutes (mine drop every 11 minutes). This improves as you level the pet and your Pet Mastery.
How to feed pets efficiently
Avoid using the "Feed All" button!
It wastes food unnecessarily.
Instead, feed one by one. Example:
If your pet has 300 HP and the food restores 200, one is enough. “Feed All” would use two, wasting the second.
Step-by-step for leveling pets
- Buy one strong pet (Solarix, Aerion, or Vulpina are great options)
- Fill the rest of your team with green-quality pets to boost Pet Mastery XP
- Equip the new pet and take it into the highest dungeon you can (or use it in combat)
• A single Nexus gives 17k pet XP — enough to level it from 1 to 52 - Once your pets reach level 50, send them into maps with decent drop value
• Not all maps have sustainable loot, so choose wisely! - As your Pet Mastery and pet level increase, their combat time and stats will improve — bringing more loot and value
Final Thoughts
• Pets are essential for boosting your stats and reducing food use in combat and dungeons
• Don’t rely on pets as your main gold income — they’re support, not primary farm
• Events always include an epic pet: claim them whenever possible!
• World Bosses for pets? Focus only on bosses with legendary or mythic drops — don’t waste resources on low-chance bosses
With a strong pet by your side, the grind becomes smoother — and more rewarding.
See you on the battlefield, companions!
— The AFK hero, never alone
