Fast Guide: Potions, Crystals & Essences Explained!

Hey adventurers!

Today’s topic is potions — simple, but super useful!
This guide won’t be as long as others, but it’s packed with essential tips to help you use potions like a pro.

What Are Potions?

Potions are temporary buffs. You activate them by clicking on the potion in your inventory before starting an action.
Each potion has a duration and a specific effect — but here’s the trick:

⏱️ The potion lasts for the full duration of your action, even if it says “20 minutes”.
⚠️ If you cancel the action, the buff is gone!

💡 Smart tip:
Let’s say you use a Wraithbane that lasts 1h40 — activate it before an 8h action, and when the buff is about to end (like 5 minutes left), refresh the action. You’ll get 8h + 1h35 of value! 

Crystals & Essences

These work similarly to potions, but you select them when starting an action, not from your inventory.
Same deal — they boost XP or efficiency, but canceling the action removes the buff.

When Should You Use Potions?

• Early game: Stick to cheap potions, like Battle Potion or Dungeon Potion.
• Once you reach the second-to-last item of a skill, start using stronger potions:
  • Fishing: Lanternfish (Lv. 80)
  • Woodcutting: Mahogany (Lv. 70)

These give high XP, so using good potions here boosts your progress a lot!

💡 Always combine with other buffs:

• Shrine Tier 3
• Guild Pool
• Special events or community boosts!

Want to Farm Gold?

⚠️ Don’t use potions, crystals, or essences to farm gold.
They’re for XP and efficiency — not for profit.

Potion Combos?

Yes — you can combine different types of potions.
But buffs don’t stack if they’re the same type.

✔️ A good combo:

• Efficiency Potion + XP Potion + Magic Find Potion

This can seriously boost your XP and loot chances!

Is Alchemy Worth It?

Honestly? No.
At least not early on.

It’s much cheaper to buy potions from:

• The market
• Other players
• Shard merchants
• Events and campaigns

Alchemy is expensive, slow, and not worth the effort unless you’re really into crafting.
