🎃 Halloween is Coming — Reflections, Updates, and New Projects!

The event barely ended, and we already have another one coming in just 2 months! Excited for the Halloween event? 🎃

This was my very first event in the game, and my first in-game anniversary is coming up! I’m hoping for items with Magic Find similar to this one — so can't wait to hit those dungeons hard to boost my MF even more!

Now that the event is over… what’s your focus?
I’m back on my grind to reach level 90 in Smelting — currently sitting at level 89 😅 so I’m almost there!

New Mobile UI — My Thoughts

Right after the event wrapped up, we got the new mobile UI.
My honest opinion? I like it! The menus look cleaner, the game feels faster… but only on stable connections. On mobile data, I’ve had trouble switching characters with the new UI, so I’ve been using the old option for that. Overall though, I’d call it a solid update!

What’s Next?

I’m really looking forward to housing and the possibilities it could bring to the game!
I’ve been trying to keep the blog updated on my planned schedule, but lately I’ve been busy with a new side project.

Recently, a new idle game launched: Idle Rising.
I’ve been playing it for almost a month now, and honestly… it made me realize that the only way I’ll get an idle game exactly how I want it is if I make it myself.

I was already frustrated about not dropping the cloak (yeah… I really should’ve saved up gold to buy it instead of trying to drop it 😅), and with Idle Rising’s release, that frustration only grew. But why?

Idle Rising — The Good and the Bad

To be fair, Idle Rising has an interesting concept and feels like it could become a great game. The devs are friendly and active with the community, which is always a huge plus.
But there are a few things that didn’t sit well with me:

  • Idle time is very short (IMMO used to be like this too before the change. Idle Rising also has ways to increase it, but not by much).
  • It’s “idle,” but keeps you stuck in combat for over 2 exhausting hours (they did add Auto-Hunt, but it’s VIP-only).
  • The monetization feels overly aggressive. Having to buy two expensive real-money items just to stay idle is basically pay-to-play.

A New Project is Born

So… I decided to develop my own idle game.
One where you can truly be idle without having to log in constantly, and without absurd pricing. Because at the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun, right?

If you want to follow the development and maybe join the beta, hop into our Discord!

That’s it for today!
I’ll be back on Friday with the next episode of In the Shadow of Galahad.
